Drone Photography & FPV Video in Fuerteventura (2026)

Fuerteventura seen from the air is a different island. The Corralejo dunes become a sea of sand with impossible shapes. The beaches reveal gradients of blue water you simply can’t see from the ground. The extinct volcanoes show a geometry that only exists when you’re far above them.

I’m Ramón, a photographer and certified drone pilot based in Corralejo. I offer aerial photography and FPV video in Fuerteventura for individuals and businesses who want something genuinely different. In this post I’ll explain what I can do, how it works, and why Fuerteventura is one of the best destinations in the world for this kind of work.

Drone Photography vs FPV: What’s the Difference?

These are two distinct technologies with very different results:

FPV requires specific equipment and many hours of practice. Not all drone pilots offer FPV. If you’ve seen those videos where the camera skims across the water or races through valleys at speed — that’s FPV.

What Can Drone Footage Do for You?

Personal photo sessions. An overhead shot at the dunes or along the coast transforms any session into something completely different. It’s the image that automatically becomes the cover of every photo album.

Social media content. If you have Instagram, YouTube, or create content on any platform, aerial footage of Fuerteventura gives you a production level that no handheld camera can match.

Real estate and holiday rentals. Properties in Fuerteventura sell and rent significantly better when aerial photography shows the location, surroundings, and proximity to the sea.

Businesses and tourism. Hotels, surf schools, kite companies, restaurants with views — aerial content generates very visible returns. It’s the kind of image that sets a business apart from its competitors on Booking or Instagram.

Cinematic travel memories. A 1-2 minute short of your experience in Fuerteventura, edited with music, that you can keep and share forever.

Best Locations for Aerial Photography in Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura has a major advantage for aerial work: its most spectacular landscapes are in open areas with enormous visual variety.

Corralejo dunes: from above they reveal shapes and patterns invisible from the ground. The view over the Natural Park with the sea behind it is one of the most iconic images in the Canary Islands.

Northern and north-western beaches: water in multiple shades of blue and green with white sand visible from the air. El Cotillo and the lagoons are particularly spectacular.

Volcanic coastline: cliffs and lava formations that offer textures and contrasts that only exist from the air.

Corralejo town: the white rooftops, the harbour and the seafront read completely differently from above.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you add aerial shots to my regular photo session? Yes. Many sessions include a mix of ground-level photography and aerial drone shots. It’s a combination that adds great variety to the final result.

Does the drone work with Fuerteventura’s wind? Photographic drones work well up to certain wind levels. If conditions aren’t right on the planned date, we find another date or change location. FPV requires slightly calmer conditions.

Can I request an FPV video of a specific location? Yes. If you have an idea, a location or a specific type of shot in mind, tell me. That’s always the starting point.

How long does aerial video editing take? It depends on the length and complexity. A well-edited 1-2 minute short with music typically takes 7 to 14 days to deliver.

How much does it cost? It depends on what you need. Get in touch with the details and I’ll send you a personalised quote with no obligation.
