Best Locations for Couples in Fuerteventura
El Cotillo — pure romance
The natural lagoons at El Cotillo with their turquoise water are the most romantic setting on the island. The tranquil atmosphere, the ever-changing light, and the intimate scale of the lagoons create the perfect context for couples’ photos.
Playa de Cofete — epic and dramatic
For couples who want something different and breathtaking. The island’s largest wild beach, the Jandía Massif rising behind it, and the open ocean. The photos speak for themselves.
Playa del Moro / Los Lagos — accessible and spectacular
Ten minutes from Corralejo, these beaches have the most photographed turquoise water on the island. Perfect for relaxed sessions — walking, splashing around and laughing in front of the camera.
Popcorn Beach — unique and intimate
The small scale of this volcanic rock cove with crystal water creates an intimate atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. Ideal for couples who want something different and away from the usual tourist spots.
Old Town Corralejo — for urban-minded couples
Colourful streets, flowers and Canarian architecture give a very different contrast to the beach. If you prefer a more urban and colourful setting, this is your location.
What to Wear for Your Couples Photo Session
Clothing is one of the elements that most influences the final result. Here are my recommendations for couples:
The Best Time: Golden Hour
For couples sessions, golden hour at sunset is my top recommendation. The warm light, the intense colours and the atmosphere in that 30-60 minute window before sunset is hard to beat.
In summer the sun sets between 9pm and 9:20pm in Fuerteventura — we can start the session around 8pm. In winter sunset is around 6-6:30pm, which still allows for beautiful late-afternoon sessions.
For more intimate or outdoor boudoir sessions, sunrise has the advantage of completely empty beaches.
What the Session Is Like: What to Expect
Many couples arrive nervous because they «don’t know how to pose.» You don’t need to. My way of working is to guide you with natural prompts and capture the spontaneous moments that arise between two people who love each other: a glance, a laugh, an instinctive embrace.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need experience in front of a camera? No. Most of the couples I photograph have never done a professional session before. I guide you throughout.
Can we go in the water? Absolutely — water shots are often the best ones. Just keep in mind your clothes will get wet.
How many photos will we receive? It depends on the package, but a standard 90-minute session delivers between 50 and 80 edited photos.
