FAQ: Hiring a Photographer in Fuerteventura — All Your Questions Answered

If you’re thinking about booking a photo session in Fuerteventura and have questions, you’re in the right place. I’ve gathered the questions almost every client asks before booking — from the most practical to the ones people feel a little awkward asking. Here are the answers to all of them.

About the Session

How long does a photo session last? Sessions typically run between 60 and 90 minutes. Shorter sessions (30-45 min) are available for solo portraits or very specific briefs. Drone and FPV sessions vary more depending on the scope of the work.

How many people can take part? There’s no strict limit. I’ve photographed everything from individual portraits to large family groups with grandparents, parents and children. Just tell me who’s involved and we’ll plan accordingly.

Do I need to know how to pose? Not at all. I guide you naturally throughout the session — that’s my job. The vast majority of my clients have no experience in front of a professional camera, and it doesn’t show in the final photos.

What happens if the weather is bad? Fuerteventura has one of the most stable climates in Europe. But if conditions aren’t right on the day, we find an alternative date at no extra cost.

Can I bring my pet? Yes. Dogs on the dunes or the beach make for beautiful photos. Just let me know in advance so I can factor it into the planning.

About Pricing

How much does a photo session in Fuerteventura cost? Prices vary depending on the session type (portraits, families, boudoir, drone), duration and number of locations. Get in touch directly for a personalised, no-obligation quote.

Do I need to pay upfront? A deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance is settled on the day of the session or at the point of photo delivery.

What’s included in the price? The session itself, selection and editing of the best photos, and delivery via a private online gallery in full resolution. Any additional services (printed album, highlight video, commercial rights) are specified and priced separately.

About the Photos

How many photos will I receive? It depends on the session type and duration. A 90-minute family session typically delivers between 40 and 80 edited photos. An individual portrait session may produce fewer images, but each one is more carefully crafted.

How long does delivery take? The standard turnaround is 7 to 10 days from the session. During peak season it may take a little longer. If you need the photos urgently, let me know — it’s sometimes possible to expedite.

How do I receive my photos? Through a private online gallery with your personal login. From there you can view, select and download all images in full resolution. The link is valid for 6 months.

Can I request more photos or the unedited files? Unedited RAW files are not delivered — this is standard practice in professional photography. If you’d like more images than those included in your session, additional photos are available at an extra cost.

Can I use the photos on social media? Yes. All photos you receive are licensed for personal use, including social media. If you need them for commercial use (advertising, business website, etc.), please ask — this requires a specific rights agreement.

About Locations

Where do we shoot? I work primarily in and around Corralejo: the Natural Park dunes, the northern beaches, the old town and the harbour. I can also travel to other parts of the island — ask me about locations outside Corralejo.

Can I choose the location? Yes. Tell me what kind of photos you’re after or which locations appeal to you, and we’ll decide together. I can also recommend the setting that best suits your session.

Do photos at the dunes require a special permit? Access to Corralejo Natural Park is open to the public. For commercial work in protected areas, specific authorisations may be required — I handle all the necessary paperwork.

Booking & Logistics

How far in advance should I book? In peak season (July and August) I recommend booking 2-3 weeks ahead. For the rest of the year there’s usually more flexibility. If you’re arriving in Fuerteventura unexpectedly, message me — last-minute slots sometimes open up.

Can I book from outside Spain? Absolutely. The majority of my clients are tourists who book from their home country before arriving on the island. The entire process is managed via WhatsApp or email.

Do you speak English? Yes, fluently. I regularly work with clients from the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands and other European countries. Sessions can be conducted entirely in English.

Do you shoot weddings? No. I specialise in portraits, families, boudoir and aerial photography. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Fuerteventura, I’m happy to point you towards specialist colleagues.

Have a question that’s not here? Message me directly — I reply within 24 hours.
